First announcing event for 12. Kärcher Rallyja Kumrovec was held at HeliSpace Interactive Parku. Semifinals at the competition of licenced drivers at official Rally Kumrovec simulator HeliDrive were won by Damjan Belić, Martin Ravenščak, Daniel Vojvodić and Florian Šalec. They have set the best times in qualification round. The direct duels followed, where first and fourth as well as second and third from qualifiers met. This is where Vojvodić and Šalec were dropped out, while Belić was faster than Ravenščak in final. All of them were driving Special Stage of Rally Germany in the video game Colin McRae dirt.
„I’m satisifed with my driving. If the pedals weren’t so far from my seat I would set even better time. I do have experience with videogames, but one could say that I own a bit of talent also. It was nice gathering, everything went well. I like the whole concept of this center very much, helicopter simulator and driving simulator are great, service and staff are excellent. Rally Kumrovec is our next event, after we didn’t have luck at Delta Rally, the car has already been fixed and we are eagerly waiting for the championship to be continued.”

HeliSpace staff was showing the rest of the interactive park situated in the impressive building at Krapinske Toplice.
„We are really happy for this cooperation because as a center, first of all for professional pilots, we exist for ten years. But, for almost one year we have started the new project here and it’s like my own baby. It’s HeliSpace Interactive Park that gave us opportunity to work with visitors and to make this world closer to regular people and children. Aviation is not our only goal. We would like to widen our activities and as we work with simulators, we chose the driving simulator. The first partner for this opportunities is Rally Kumrovec, because it’s one of the most interesting events in Croatia. I really hope this cooperation will go well and it will continue in the future. It was the opportunity for drivers to try themselves on one of the best simulators, full motion driving simulator.”

A total od 16 male and female drivers tested their skills at HeliDrive simulator. Besides the semifinalist, their art of driving was shown by Nenad Lončarić, Tajana Vojvodić Pinky, Ivica Siladić, Jasna Durak, Marko Oto Juričev Martinčev, Andrea Rastowsky, Dorijan Kljun, Petar Blažičko, Matija Vuković, Filip Puzić, Vedran Đukić and Marko Šivak. All the participants were given the occasional gifts by HeliSpace Interactive Park and at the end of the event the celebration was thrown for Marko Oto Juričev Martinčev’s 50. birthday. The new warm up for 12. Kärcher Rally Kumrovec will follow in more than a month, when spectators will have the opportunity to try themselves on HeliDrive.
