A press conference was held at the Visitor Center in Kumrovec to announce the milestone 15th MOTUL Rally Kumrovec, taking place from September 3rd to 5th, 2026. Representatives of the organizers, the Croatian Auto and Karting Federation, as well as leaders of local municipalities and Krapina-Zagorje County, announced another thrilling edition featuring 58 crews from 8 countries.
The rally kicks off on Friday with the shakedown and the first two special stages. The remaining six stages will take place on Saturday across well-known routes in Kumrovec, Zagorska Sela, Tuhelj, Klanjec, and Veliko Trgovišće.
“Behind us are 15 years of continuous work, and we strive to make each upcoming edition even better. The competition starts on Friday with the shakedown and first two special stages, while the remaining six will be driven on Saturday across the attractive roads of our municipalities and towns. A big thank you to all our hosts from the towns and municipalities of Zagorje and the County for their exceptional cooperation, and especially to the local residents for their patience and understanding during the event,” announced Luka Devunić, Clerk of the Course and President of AK Delta Sport.
“This event is not only of tourist and economic significance, but also proof of how much local residents love this sport, which is growing strongly across the county and local communities. The 15-year cooperation between local self-government units, the County, and the organizers serves as a great example to others on how to build a successful and lasting sports project,” added Kruno Horvat, Secretary General of the Croatian Auto and Karting Federation.
“Kumrovec is fully ready for the event. I am extremely pleased to see how the rally develops year after year and that it already boasts a rich history. Although the timing might not be ideal, I am confident we have an excellent race ahead of us. I wish all competitors, guests, and fans a warm welcome and a great time in our Zagorje,” said Head of Kumrovec Municipality, Robert Šplajt.
“We are truly focused on the safety of competitors, spectators, the local population, and their property. This year, we have implemented additional measures to ensure safety reaches 99.9 percent. I believe the rally will bring out the very best — great adrenaline and immense satisfaction for all participants and fans,” highlighted Ksenija Krivec Jurak, Mayor of Zagorska Sela Municipality.
“Organizing such a complex and large-scale rally at this level is no small feat. I wish the organizers much success in executing this year’s edition, hoping everything runs smoothly without major issues or injuries, ending in the best possible way,” noted Zlatko Brlek, Mayor of the Town of Klanjec.
“I congratulate Auto Club Delta Sport and everyone involved in realizing this fantastic event on building a remarkable 15-year tradition. Speaking of the WRC, the Kumrovec special stage was rightly highlighted as one of the best in the world. That is a huge recognition for our region, especially knowing those broadcasts reach millions of viewers. We hope to see WRC return to Zagorje; until then, we will continue to strongly support Rally Kumrovec.
