Getting around at 13. Motul Rally Kumrovec

Coming to watch the rally for the first time? No problem. With a few brief instructions and tips, you will easily find your way around the 13. Motul Rally Kumrovec.

  1. Arrival – always come on time. Count on the fact that you will not always be able to park near the place from which you will watch the race. Allow yourself enough time to get from your vehicle to the position on the Special Stage before the zero cars pass. It is desirable that you are at the viewing area 30 minutes before the start of the first competition vehicle.
  2. Choosing a location – an absolute classic is the playground of the Josip Broz Elementary School in Kumrovec. There is probably no spectator of the Kumrovec Rally who has not followed the Special Stages from that place at least once. You can park your vehicle in any available position in the center of Kumrovec, from where you can quickly reach the playground on foot, where you will find catering and other accompanying facilities. The other locations may be found at Maps of the Special Stages, where the Route of the rally is shown.
  3. Maps of Special Stages – 13. Motul Rally Kumrovec is to be held on four different tracks, with the fifth one on which the Shakedown will be driven. The maps of the special stages are available in the interactive form in the Spectators section.
  4. The Service Park – is located next to the Multimedia Center in Kumrovec, along the Road Lijepe Naše. Due to the large number of entries, it is located at several locations, but all of them are visible upon the arrival to the Multimedia Center. Sketch of Kumrovec – Friday and Sketch of Kumrovec – Saturday will help you find your way around.
  5. The Competition Rundown – Rally is the most complex discipline of motorsports, but spectators love it very much because of the competitive spirit of the crews and their teams. Very often you will see damaged cars rushing throught the race with a stopwatch. However, fast driving is only allowed on closed road sections called Special Stages or shorter Stages. There are 11 of them at 13. Motul Rally Kumrovec, on four different tracks. On Friday, September 6, 2024, the Tuhelj Special Stage will be run twice, and on Saturday, September 7, the crews will have three passes through Desinić, Zagorska Sela and Kumrovec Stages. Here you may find the Schedule of the Special Stages.
  6. Ceremonial Start and Finish – ceremonial presentation of the crews that will perform and the parade of crews that have finished the rally. In Kumrovec, it takes place in the Staro selo Museum. The Ceremonial Start is scheduled for Saturday, September 7 at 9:15, and the Finish on the same day at 18:15.
  7. Procedure for the start of the Special Stage – the crews start the Special Stages one by one. After completing the time control before the special stage, they hand over the time card to the starter on which the start time will be written. This time is also the starting time for the liaison to the next time control. Most special stages are started by the clock, but the loop ones are started on the green light that turns on by the starter, after which the driver has 5 seconds to start. After passing the finish line of the special stages, the crews stop at the so-called stop control, where the timing service enters the achieved time of the special stage into the time card.
  8. Instructions for Spectator’s Safety – always listen to the instructions of the referees and stewards. Find more safety recommendations in the Spectarors section.
